Masefield Extension & Renovation

2026, In Progress

The project retains the home’s established four-bedroom layout while extensively reworking the kitchen, living, dining and service areas to create a more functional and connected family home.

Interior design and material continuity is central to this project. Curved forms, warm timber-look cabinetry, pale stone, VJ wall lining and antique brass fittings carry across the different spaces, allowing each room to retain its own character while remaining part of a cohesive whole.

Due for Completion: Commenced Feb 2026. Late 2026.

Interior Designer: Lauri Uldrikis @ Lauri Uldrikis Studio

Project Overview: The internal layout has been refined to improve movement between the kitchen, dining and living zones. The bathroom, ensuite, powder room and laundry have also been comprehensively redesigned, with detailed storage and joinery integrated throughout. To the rear, the building has been extended to create a new bespoke Alfresco area complete with outdoor kitchen.

Unique Features: A highly detailed, bespoke interior design by Lauri Uldrikis. This project is built around curved custom joinery, honed Taj Mahal marble and warm Boston Oak cabinetry. The kitchen incorporates a concealed pantry, finger pull joinery integrated appliances and bespoke storage, with the seamless design elements carried into the living room, bathrooms, laundry and alfresco.

Other defining elements include steel-framed glazed doors, a freestanding Stûv fireplace with a polished-concrete hearth and integrated wood store, curved banquette seating, bronzed-mirror bar cabinetry, French oak flooring, Yabby antique brass fittings.

The extension component of this project includes a new covered alfresco - an outdoor living area with a fully integrated kitchen, built-in barbecue, drinks fridge and sink. Boston Oak-look external cabinetry is paired with a porcelain benchtop, waterfall end, tiled splashback and VJ-lined ceiling, creating a seamless continuation of the interior finishes.

Note: below shows some of the incredible detail that’s gone into this project along with progress and finishes. More to come once this project is complete.
